Type 4 Kaiten (Japan) HNSA
The Kaiten is on display on the far side of the snack bar at the Bowfin Museum and Park in Honolulu. When compared to the U.S. torpedoes on display at the main entrance, the Kaiten is much larger. Of course, U.S. torpedoes didn't carry pilots. It is believed that no Type 4 ever saw action in the Pacific.
Historical note
The site of the largest Kaiten victim was recently located in Ulithi. Divers successfully found and photographed the USS Mississinewa (AO-59) in 120 feet of water off Falalop Island.
